The annual MTV Video Music Awards are set for Aug. 28 and the first promo for the show stars saggin’ hip-hopster Lil Wayne. The Young Money boss, along with Adele and Chris Brown, is slated to perform on the show, which will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The event coincides with the Aug. 29 release of Lil Wayne’s upcoming album, Tha Carter IV.
Rappers 50 Cent’s New Distribution Deal With Pepsi

Looks like 2012 is the year where rappers quench their thirst, literally. After Flava Flav’s vodka deal and Diddy’s new campaign for Ciroc, rapper 50 Cent goes the lighter way and landed a major distribution deal with Pepsi. The rapper’s new Street King energy shot launched in September 2011 and he hasn’t stopped promoting it.
